A ranch on the water led the week, followed by homes with pools on large lots in Aurora and Richfield and colonials in Akron and Hudson.

Akron, Ohio Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Lakefront Ranch in Turkeyfoot Heights Leads at $1.2 Million

These are the five highest-priced home sales reported in the Akron, Ohio, metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they came to $4.5 million. Four of the homes are in Summit County, two of them in the city of Akron and one each in Richfield and Hudson. The fifth is in Aurora, in Portage County. All five are single-family homes, and four of them have two stories.

No. 1 — $1,170,000 · 114 Lake Front Dr, Akron, Ohio

Top home sale No. 1 in the Akron, Ohio metro area β€” 114 Lake Front Dr, Akron, Ohio, week ending October 4, 2026

The top sale of the week was a brick ranch on the Main Chain of Portage Lakes in Turkeyfoot Heights, where 114 Lake Front Drive sold for $1,170,000. The home is set back 240 feet from the road on a landscaped lot of 0.44 acres with 123 feet of lake frontage. The lot slopes gently toward the water, where there is a 30-foot dock with a covered electric boat lift, along with a storage shed and a concrete seawall a foot thick. From a stone balcony and a Trex deck, the views take in Miller Lake.

Built in 1965, the one-story home has four bedrooms, two of them on the main level, three bathrooms and 3,240 square feet of living space. The great room has a vaulted ceiling with a wood beam, a wall of windows with sliders to the patio, and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that burns gas or wood. The eat-in kitchen is built around two oversized quartz islands. In the primary suite are a large walk-in closet and a bath with a heated jetted tub and a curbless shower.

The finished lower level walks out to the yard. Its family room has a corner stone fireplace with an attached cooking grill, and the level also has a wet bar, an office lined with built-in bookcases, a workshop and a cedar closet. The attached garage has room for five cars and epoxy floors. Residents of Turkeyfoot Heights share a private park with a pavilion and a swim beach, and the neighborhood also has tennis and pickleball courts. The property last sold for $420,000 in 2016.

In the Cascades neighborhood of Aurora, a custom home built in 2001 on 3.03 acres sold for $994,999. The two-story home, faced mostly in brick with stucco accents, has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and 6,498 square feet, and it is finished with detailed millwork and extensive built-ins.

Venetian plaster and hardwood inlays mark the foyer, which opens to a great room with a coffered ceiling, oversized arched windows and a gas fireplace with a marble hearth. The main floor also has a dining room with detailed trim, a library with French doors and floor-to-ceiling built-ins, and a second primary suite with its own bath. The living room has beam accents and Italian tile floors.

Natural cherry cabinets, granite counters and two large islands fill the kitchen, which has a walk-in pantry and a 48-inch GE Monogram gas range with six burners and a grill. A morning room adjoins it. The most unusual space is an atrium addition with a glass ceiling and glass walls, quartzite floors, a sunken hot tub and a copper farm sink.

Upstairs are four of the bedrooms. The primary suite there has a tray ceiling, Venetian plaster, two walk-in closets and a bath with a soaking tub and a separate shower. The finished lower level has an entertainment room with a wet bar, recreation and game rooms, a full bath, an exercise area and a workshop.

Outside, a multi-tiered patio of 1,800 square feet has an outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, a pergola and a fire pit, and there are a waterfall and a pond in the landscaping. A heated pool measuring 32 by 16 feet and an outdoor shower round out the yard, which looks out to the woods.

Of the five homes, 5168 Townsend Road in Richfield’s Forest Run neighborhood has the largest lot: 4.39 wooded acres on the Richfield/Brecksville border, with a creek and a spring on the land. It sold for $960,000 and last sold for $850,000 in 2022.

Built in 1983 in brick and cedar, the two-story contemporary colonial has five bedrooms and 5,829 square feet. Its six bathrooms are the most among the five homes. A two-story foyer with a curved staircase leads to a vaulted great room with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace. There is also an entertaining area with a wet bar and a loft overlook, and an office with custom built-ins and a coffered ceiling.

The backyard has a heated in-ground pool with a spa and a waterfall, a pool house with a half bath, and a large patio surrounded by mature trees. A four-season room overlooks it. Upstairs, the primary suite has a gas fireplace, two walk-in closets and a bath with a soaking tub and a granite double vanity. The other bedrooms are served by a Jack-and-Jill bath and a private bath, and a finished bonus room sits over the garage. The lower level was recently finished, adding 880 square feet with a rec room, a wet bar, a full bath and a wood-burning fireplace.

The property has six garage spaces, also the most of the five. A large heated outbuilding with electricity and water includes workshop space and room for extra cars, a boat or an RV.

The two-story home has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and 3,220 square feet on a lot of 0.41 acres, with a three-car garage that loads from the side.

Hardwood floors run through the two-story foyer, and a first-floor office opens to it through French doors. The dining room has a tray ceiling. In the kitchen are granite counters and an oversized center island with a breakfast bar, and a separate dining area looks over an all-season sunroom. The sunroom opens to a deck above the private backyard. A stone gas fireplace anchors the great room.

On the second floor, the primary suite has a walk-in closet and a bath with dual vanities, a jetted corner tub and a newly updated separate shower. Three more bedrooms with double closets and two more full baths share that floor. The main level also has a laundry room and a bonus room, and there is another full bath in the lower level.

Rosemont Ridge has convenient access to the Rosemont Preserve, a 66-acre site in Fairlawn being developed with walking trails, boardwalks and restored natural areas. The property last sold for $535,000 in 2021.

The property last sold for $600,000 in 2023.
