No. 1 — $1,562,000 · 2725 Windswept Cv, York, South Carolina

The top sale of the week is a brick home on Lake Wylie in the Estates at Windswept Cove, set on 1.63 acres where the water wraps around roughly two and a half sides of the land. The property sits at the mouth of a deep-water cove looking out over Big Allison Creek, so it gets long views across open water while the shoreline stays sheltered from the busier main channel. At the water’s edge are a dock and pier, with a boat lift and a separate lift for personal watercraft.
Built in 2005, the home has 6,386 square feet, the most of any home in this week’s group, along with four bedrooms and six baths, four full and two half. A barrel ceiling marks the approach to the front entry, and from the foyer a wall of windows looks straight through to the lake. The kitchen, with its island and bar seating, shares the lake view with the breakfast area and the main living space, and a lakefront office is fitted with custom built-ins.
The primary suite is on the main level, with a fireplace, its own wall of windows facing the water and a bath with a jetted tub and a large walk-in shower. A second bedroom on the same floor has a private full bath. The walk-out lower level is finished, with a recreation room that has a fireplace and a second kitchen and bar, another bedroom with its own bath, and a separate entertainment area with a bar, a sitting area and a full bath. From there, doors open to a partly covered lakeside patio and pool area with an outdoor fireplace and an outdoor kitchen. The garage is extra deep, with a workshop at the back. The property last sold for $890,000 in 2012.

In Clover, a cedar log home on 1.95 acres, the largest lot among the five, sold for $1,000,000. The home was built in 1995 of Canadian red cedar logs with post-and-beam construction, and it looks out over the main channel of the lake.
Its centerpiece is a two-story great room with exposed beams, a wood-burning fireplace and walls of windows facing the water. The home has 4,400 square feet, four bedrooms and four full baths, and the primary suite is on the main level, with a fireplace of its own. Several porches take in the view, and a walk-out lower level offers room for guests or recreation.
Down at the shoreline is a covered dock with a 7,000-pound boat lift and two floating docks for jet skis. The property also has garage space for five cars, the most of any home this week, plus a metal outbuilding set off by itself that suits an RV, a boat or a workshop. The property last sold for $20,000 in 2002.
The home went under contract the same day it was listed. James Walker of Northgroup Real Estate and Lynette McClendon of NorthGroup Real Estate LLC were the listing agents, and Walker also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale.
