Metro South, Georgia Top 5 Home Sales: Yatesville Quarry Farm Leads at $3.1 Million

Land set the tone this week, from a working farm in Yatesville to a lakefront ranch in Jackson, with a newly built home in Concord in between.

Metro South, Georgia Top 5 Home Sales: Yatesville Quarry Farm Leads at $3.1 Million

The five highest-priced home sales reported in Metro South, Georgia for the week ending October 25, 2026, came to $5.39 million combined. They were spread across five towns and four counties, with two of the sales in Henry County.

The group leaned toward room to spread out: a farm with its own quarry, a ranch with a guest house and workshop on several acres, a brand-new home in Pike County, a large brick home in a Locust Grove neighborhood and a ranch on the water in Butts County.

No. 1 — $3,100,000 · 1188 Forsyth Yatesville Rd, Yatesville, Georgia

Top home sale No. 1 in Metro South, Georgia β€” 1188 Forsyth Yatesville Rd, Yatesville, Georgia, week ending October 25, 2026

The week’s top sale was a working farm. The property at 1188 Forsyth Yatesville Road in Yatesville sold for $3,100,000 and covers 117 acres, the largest lot among the five sales. It is made up of several parcels. The home and the quarry are in Lamar County, as are about 42 acres, and the rest of the land is in Monroe County. The property last sold for $112,500 in 2023.

At the heart of the property is a rock quarry filled with clear water and edged by rock walls. On one side, a level entry point known as “the beach” allows a walk straight into the water. The opposite side is wooded and reached by a gravel drive, with views down over the water from the top. A smaller pond is used to raise bait, and there is a separate site where another lake could be built.

Built in 2019 in the barndominium style, the home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 3,292 square feet. The primary suite and a second bedroom are on the main level, each with its own bath, and the third bedroom is an oversized loft upstairs. The main living space has vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace and rustic accents, with views of the quarry. Covered porches at the front and rear look out over the pool, the water and the land.

Outside, a heated saltwater pool with a hot tub and a waterfall is ringed by patio space, all overlooking the quarry. An outdoor pavilion with a fireplace and a full kitchen also faces the quarry, as does a volleyball court that is lit and fully enclosed.

The farm itself is set up for horses or cattle. About 60 acres are divided into five fenced pastures, each with water and a mix of Bahia, Bermuda and fescue grass. The main barn measures roughly 50 by 156 feet, with lean-tos along its sides, and has lighting, water, stalls and turnout paddocks. There is also a lit riding arena, along with two pole barns of 40 by 60 feet, one of them used for equipment. A whole-house generator, a dog kennel and several RV hookups round out the property, which fronts two roads, Forsyth Yatesville Road and Rock Quarry Road, and already has two driveways.

The property went under contract 14 days after it was listed. Melissa Stephens of BHGRE Metro Brokers was the listing agent, and Kristen Askew of HR Heritage Realty, Inc. represented the buyer in the week’s highest-priced sale.
