These were the five highest-priced home sales reported in Auburn-Opelika Area, Alabama for the week ending October 25, 2026, and together they came to $4.12 million. Four of the homes are in Auburn and one is in Opelika, all of them in Lee County.
The list runs from a 1981 home on nearly 20 acres to a single-story home built in 2026, with a new country home outside Opelika and two family homes in Auburn’s golf and lake neighborhoods in between. BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HOMESERVICES agents listed the top three.
No. 1 — $1,150,000 · 4474 Sandhill Rd, Auburn, Alabama

The week’s top sale is as much a piece of land as a home. The property on Sandhill Road in Sand Hill Acres covers 19.60 acres in South Auburn, the largest lot of the five. The home itself stands on five of those acres, inside Auburn city limits and zoned for Auburn City Schools, while an adjoining 14.6-acre parcel lies outside the city in the county.
Built in 1981, it is the oldest home on this week’s list and also the largest, with about 4,000 square feet over three stories. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, three full and three half. The main rooms include a formal dining room and a kitchen open to the family room, with wood, tile and carpet underfoot. A loft gives the family a flexible room for games, movies, hobbies or exercise, and the lower level has a walk-out entry to the grounds.
Much of the appeal is outdoors. A 25-by-50-foot swimming pool is surrounded by a broad deck, with a pool house and a large gazebo close by, and there is a separate deck and a big screened porch as well. The detached shop is its own project space: one 36-by-40-foot side is insulated, heated and cooled, with an office, water, power and a pulley system for attic storage, and a second 20-by-40-foot bay has drive-through garage doors sized for boats, equipment or an RV. A pole barn adds covered storage. Publix at Moore’s Mill is about ten minutes away. The property last sold for $150,000 in 1992.
EMILY WHATLEY of BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HOMESERVICES was the listing agent, and MICHY AJA, also of BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY HOMESERVICES, represented the buyer. The sale led a week in which the firm’s agents listed each of the three highest-priced homes.
