These were the five highest-priced home sales reported in North Central Region, West Virginia for the week ending October 25, 2026, and together they came to $3.48 million. Four of the homes are in Morgantown and one is in Bridgeport, and the group runs from a home completed this year to one built in 1980.
Each of the five is a single-family home with a two-car garage. Only one of them, the Harvest Ridge home, is a one-story design, and the same agent was on both sides of two of the sales.
No. 1 — $1,200,000 · 200 Oak Ridge Dr, Morgantown, West Virginia

The top sale of the week is a log home in Mont Chateau Estates in Morgantown, set on 3 acres of wooded, sloping land that borders Coopers Rock State Forest and looks out over Cheat Lake. The property line runs to two private waterfalls and down into the lake itself. Trails lead from the property straight into the state forest, and the sale includes access to a boat slip at Mont Chateau Marina.
Built in 2003 and since fully renovated, the home has log, stone and stucco on the outside and 4,098 square feet inside, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. Its great room rises to 30-foot ceilings around a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that burns wood. The renovation brought in a new chef’s kitchen, new hickory floors and remodeled bathrooms finished in travertine, and a pair of staircases with custom rustic railings climbs to the vaulted bedrooms on the upper floor. The primary suite has a gas fireplace of its own and a private balcony.
Outside are three new decks, fieldstone paths and a large, flat yard. The driveway is heated and switches on automatically when snow falls, and the oversized garage has an epoxy floor with space for boats and trailers. The property last sold in 2025 for $850,000.
The home went under contract 22 days after it was listed and sold for its full asking price of $1,200,000. MICHELLE OATES and ZACK PELL, both of THE AGENCY – MORGANTOWN, were the listing agents, and SHEILA ROSIER of HOWARD HANNA PREMIER PROPERTIES BY BARBARA ALEXANDER, LLC represented the buyer.

No. 3 — $540,000 · 26 Carriage Ln, Bridgeport, West Virginia

In Bridgeport’s The Old Farm neighborhood, a traditional home built in 1980, the oldest of the week’s five, sold for $540,000. A brick-paver driveway leads up to the two-car garage, and inside, hardwood floors run through a formal dining room trimmed in wainscoting and on into a living room built around a masonry fireplace.
The kitchen has been updated with dark cabinetry, quartz counters and an oversized island. A sunroom lit by skylights opens onto a large deck at the back, which looks over a level backyard edged with tall trees for privacy, with a storage shed at hand. The primary suite, with its own bath and closet, is on the upper floor, and the finished basement adds bonus rooms suited to a recreation room or a home gym. In all the home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and 3,700 square feet on 0.38 acres. The property last sold in 2016 for $411,000.

The one single-story home among the five is a ranch in Harvest Ridge in Morgantown, built in 2009, which sold for $465,000. The main floor is arranged for living on one level: the primary suite and two more bedrooms share it with a second full bathroom, and the kitchen and living room open into each other. A separate bonus room can serve as a formal living room, a playroom or a place to gather.
Downstairs, the finished basement has its own door to the outside, along with a fourth bedroom that could work as an in-law suite, another full bathroom, room for entertaining and an unfinished storage room. The home has 3,468 square feet and three bathrooms in all, on a 0.35-acre lot. Out back, a fenced yard surrounds a patio, and the two gazebos on it stay with the home.
