Top home sale No. 1 in Lakes Region, New Hampshire β€” 72 Timber Ridge Road, Alton Bay, New Hampshire, week ending October 25, 2026

The top sale of the week was on Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton Bay, where an Adirondack-style contemporary home at 72 Timber Ridge Road sold for $5,750,000. Built in 2004 with timber-frame and post-and-beam construction under shingle siding, it is the newest and the largest home in this Top 5, with 8,855 square feet of living space on 2.21 acres. The home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and it looks out over both the water and the mountains.

The main living spaces are open, moving from a custom kitchen with an island into a great room where a stone fireplace rises from floor to ceiling. Cherry floors run through the living areas, and a sunroom has a fireplace of its own. The primary suite is on the first floor, with a gas fireplace, two closets and a bath with a soaking tub and a walk-in shower. On the second level, a private guest suite sits above the garage, and there are two more bedrooms and loft areas.

The lower level is built for recreation, with a family and game room, a wet bar, a theater room and a hot tub. It walks out to a paver patio, and granite steps lead down to a deep-water hardwood dock with room for several boats, over a sandy lake bottom suited to swimming.
