These are the highest-priced home sales reported in the San Francisco metro area for the week ending October 11, 2026, and together the five sold for $66.22 million. Four of the homes are in San Francisco, in Seacliff, the Lake neighborhood, Alamo Square and Presidio Heights, and the fifth is in Menlo Park. Compass agents listed three of the five.

No. 1 — $21,000,000 · 45 Scenic Way, San Francisco, California

Top home sale No. 1 in the San Francisco metro area β€” 45 Scenic Way, San Francisco, California, week ending October 11, 2026

The week’s top sale was a Seacliff home designed by the architect Willis Polk in 1916, which sold for $21,000,000. It stands fully detached on a corner lot along a quiet, tree-lined block near the Presidio, China Beach and Baker Beach. An extensive renovation kept its architectural character: wood-paneled walls, arched windows and openings, wood floors and generous proportions.

A foyer leads to a living room with a fireplace on one side and a formal dining room with custom walnut cabinetry on the other. French doors open to a sitting room and a kitchen built around a La Cornue range, with a walk-in pantry, a wet bar, marble counters and seating at the island. The breakfast area and family room open to an outdoor barbecue area, with the garden below, where a fire pit, a turf lawn and mature landscaping leave room for gatherings outdoors.

The home has six bedrooms, six full baths and a half bath, and 5,915 square feet of living space, the most of the five, over four stories with an elevator. The primary suite has a fireplace, arched windows, a dressing room and a walk-in closet. At the top of the home, a room the listing calls the pentroom looks out to the Pacific Ocean, the Marin Headlands, Baker Beach and the Golden Gate Bridge and opens to a view deck, with an office and a full bath beside it. The lower level has a bedroom suite with its own kitchenette and sitting area, and there is also a wine room. The property last sold for $6.25 million in 2013.

The home went under contract seven days after it was listed and sold $5.2 million above its asking price of $15.8 million. Neill S. Bassi of Sotheby’s International Realty was the listing agent, and Neal Allen Ward of Compass represented the buyer.

No. 2 — $15,000,000 · 2 6th Ave, San Francisco, California

Top home sale No. 2 in the San Francisco metro area β€” 2 6th Ave, San Francisco, California, week ending October 11, 2026

The oldest home in the group, built in 1914, sits on a cul-de-sac north of Lake Street and borders the Presidio. It is an Arts and Crafts home in San Francisco’s First Bay Tradition, built with natural materials and restrained ornament, and its 9,234-square-foot lot has gardens in front and behind, with views of the golf course.

Original redwood trim and wood floors set the tone inside. Wood-burning fireplaces warm both the living room and the formal dining room, where French doors open to a terrace. A library lined with bookshelves looks toward the Presidio. The kitchen is large and full of daylight, with plenty of cabinetry and a butler’s pantry next to it, and its own French doors lead to a private patio and the rear garden.

A redwood staircase climbs to the bedrooms and a secluded porch. The primary suite has three closets and a dressing room that was once a bedroom, now fitted with walls of closets and built-in cabinetry. The home has four bedrooms, two full baths and two half baths, 4,490 square feet of living space and a two-car garage.

The home went under contract 11 days after it was listed. Maureen O. Terris of Compass was the listing agent, and Ronda Priestner, also of Compass, represented the buyer.

No. 3 — $12,820,000 · 595 Hobart St, Menlo Park, California

Top home sale No. 3 in the San Francisco metro area β€” 595 Hobart St, Menlo Park, California, week ending October 11, 2026

The only sale outside San Francisco is also the newest home in the group, a new home completed in 2026 in Central Menlo Park. It has the most bedrooms and bathrooms of the five, with eight bedrooms, eight full baths and a half bath, along with 5,913 square feet of living space on three stories. It also sits on the largest lot in the group, 0.26 acres. The home has hardwood floors, a two-car garage and five fireplaces, among them ones in the living room, the primary bedroom and outdoors. The property last sold for $4.75 million in 2025, before the current home was built.

No. 4 — $9,000,000 · 1125 Hayes St, San Francisco, California

Top home sale No. 4 in the San Francisco metro area β€” 1125 Hayes St, San Francisco, California, week ending October 11, 2026

A 1930 Mediterranean home in Alamo Square went under contract five days after it was listed and sold for $9,000,000, which was $2.005 million above its asking price of $6.995 million.

A room the listing calls the Sky Lounge looks directly over Alamo Square, with views that stretch from downtown to the Golden Gate Bridge. Behind the home, a private south-facing garden has a cedar hot tub and views toward Parnassus Heights and Buena Vista Park; because of the hillside, the garden sits roughly four stories above the city below. The home also has 842 square feet of view decks.

The Spanish-style stucco and wood home was renovated and restored with its vintage character kept. The living room runs the full width of the home, more than 30 feet across. The primary suite takes up the entire front of the home, facing the park, and a fourth bedroom with carved woodwork could serve as an office or studio. The home has four bedrooms, three full baths and a half bath, 4,785 square feet of living space on three stories and a finished basement. The property last sold for $4.675 million in 2020.

Butch Haze of Compass was the listing agent, and John R. DiDomenico, also of Compass, represented the buyer. It was one of three sales in this Top 5 listed by Compass agents, along with the homes at No. 2 and No. 3.
