No. 1 — $2,200,000 · 3423 NW 76th Dr, Ankeny, Iowa

Top home sale No. 1 in the Des Moines, Iowa metro area β€” 3423 NW 76th Dr, Ankeny, Iowa, week ending October 4, 2026

At the end of a long private drive in Ankeny, a home built in 2023 sits on 4.15 wooded acres, with timbered land stretching beyond the property line. An arched porte cochere links the home to a heated and cooled single-car garage and shop, and the passage leads to a private courtyard, and an oversized, heated three-car attached garage is kept out of sight. The home sold for $2,200,000.

Inside, the great room rises to 12-foot ceilings, and the finishes run to marble tile, European oak floors and glass doorknobs. The kitchen, living and dining areas are open to one another. The kitchen has a 48-inch range under a custom hood, paneled appliances and a walk-through pantry behind chef’s doors. Tucked behind the kitchen are a private office, a powder room, a laundry and a mudroom.

The owner’s suite is on the main level, with its own door to the backyard, two walk-in closets and a soaker tub. The home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms in 3,801 square feet. The other four bedrooms are divided between the upper and lower levels, and each has a walk-in closet. The finished daylight lower level, with 10-foot ceilings, is given over to recreation: a golf simulator, a large wet bar and room to gather.

Outdoors there is a screened porch, a fire pit, a spa and a resistance lap pool, and a putting green set against the woods. Saylorville Lake and its trails are a short distance away, as is Prairie Trail.

Jill Budden of RE/MAX Concepts was the listing agent, and Megan Hill Mitchum of Century 21 Signature represented the buyer. The sale led the week, and it was the first of three straight top sales listed by RE/MAX Concepts agents.
