San Diego, California Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Coronado Village Bayfront Home Tops the Week at $14 Million

A bayfront home in Coronado Village sold at full asking price for $14 million, the highest of five reported home sales in the San Diego metro area for the week ending September 20, 2026.

San Diego, California Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Coronado Village Bayfront Home Tops the Week at $14 Million

The 1979 house at 813 1st St occupies more than 16,000 square feet of ground directly on San Diego Bay, one of just 34 single-family homes along the bayfront run of Coronado’s 1st Street. Its $14 million sale led five reported home sales across the San Diego metro area for the week ending September 20, 2026, a group that combined for $41.49 million.

Two Rancho Santa Fe estates closed on the same day, September 14, at $7 million apiece; the rest of the list runs from a 2019 custom build in Encinitas to a second Coronado Village house. Compass held the listing side of the week’s two highest-priced reported sales in the metro.

No. 1 — $14,000,000 · 813 1st St, San Diego, California

Top home sale No. 1 in the San Diego, California metro area β€” 813 1st St, San Diego, California, week ending September 20, 2026

The bayfront property at 813 1st St closed on September 18, 2026 for $14 million. Three bedrooms and three baths sit in a reported 2,954 square feet in the 1979 residence, which stands well back from the street on a bayfront parcel of more than 16,000 square feet.

Views from the property run unobstructed across San Diego Bay to the downtown skyline, and a deck faces the water above an established seawall. The deck looks out on boat traffic crossing the bay and, after dark, on the downtown lights reflected on the water. An unusual setback from 1st Street and a private approach give the house a degree of seclusion uncommon among Coronado’s bayfront residences.

Greg Cummings and Jeffrey Sill of Compass were the listing agents. The sale closed at its full asking price and went under contract 14 days after the current listing date, and at $14 million it ranked No. 1 in RealtyWire’s San Diego Top 5 for the week. Compass was also the listing brokerage on the week’s second-highest reported sale in the metro. Janice P Clements of Compass represented the buyer.
