A 2005 house on a quiet cul-de-sac in The Currituck Club, at the north end of Corolla, North Carolina, sold for $1 million, the highest-priced home sale publicly reported in the Virginia Beach, Virginia metro area for the week ending August 9, 2026. The five leading closings recorded across the metro that week combined for $4.28 million in Virginia Beach-area real estate.

Corolla carried the week’s list, with four of the ranked closings recorded there and the fifth in Yorktown, Virginia. The named communities behind them are The Currituck Club and its Hammocks section, Whalehead Club, Ocean Sands and Rose Hill. Build years run from a 1995 beach cottage held by its original owners to a Yorktown house completed this year, and Keller Williams Outer Banks KDH held the listing side on three of the week’s ranked sales.
