Top home sale No. 1 in Silver Spring Area, Maryland β€” 3904 Saul Rd, Kensington, Maryland, week ending October 25, 2026

The top sale of the week is a brick Colonial from 1947 in the Rock Creek Hills neighborhood of Kensington, and its interiors are the product of a thorough renovation. The finishes run to vintage and Visual Comfort light fixtures, brass switches from Buster & Punch, designer wallpaper, custom woodwork and walls painted in Farrow & Ball colors. On the main level, a large kitchen with a center island and a separate coffee and wine bar anchors the plan. Glass French doors close off the dining room, and the living room has a marble fireplace. A sunroom with heated marble floors opens straight to the backyard, where a broad stone patio and a sport court sit in a flat yard ringed by mature plantings and stone retaining walls.

The home has five bedrooms, three full baths and one half bath in 4,300 square feet, the most living space of the five, on a lot of 0.37 acres. The primary suite is on the second floor with its own bath and several closets, and two more bedrooms there share a renovated hall bath. A fourth level gives room for a home office and a play area. Downstairs, the finished lower level has a family room with a gas fireplace and built-ins, a guest suite and a door to the one-car garage. The neighborhood is within a short walk of Antique Row, a weekly farmers market and Old Town Market.
