The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Riverside, California metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, came to a combined $22.08 million. Three were in Riverside County, in Rancho Mirage, La Quinta and Indian Wells, and two were in San Bernardino County, in Chino Hills and Lake Arrowhead.
The group runs from the desert to the mountains. Two of the homes were built in 2025, and the oldest dates to 1981. Golf courses frame two of the sales, glass walls open up several more, and the week closes at the water’s edge with a private dock.
No. 1 — $5,235,000 · 16 Via Linea, Rancho Mirage, California

The top sale of the week is a just-completed modern home at 16 Via Linea in Rancho Mirage, and it is built around light. Walls of floor-to-ceiling Fleetwood glass and doors make the home nearly transparent from end to end. A pool sits at the front, facing the mountains to the west, and a reflecting lap pool runs along the east side, so water is in view from much of the interior.
Inside the front door is a glass atrium planted with a desert olive tree. The rooms are arranged around it, with long gallery hallways suited to art. The plan splits into two wings: a large, private primary suite on one side, and guest rooms and a media room on the other. The kitchen centers on a 22-foot island, and there is a separate wine room. Floors are large-format tile, and the living room has a gas fireplace.
The single-story home, built in 2025, has four bedrooms, four full baths and a half bath, and about 5,000 square feet on a level 0.42-acre lot in a gated community. There is a three-car garage and a heated spa beside the pool.
The home sold for $5,235,000. Gregory Kinsley of Alta Verde Builders, Inc was the listing agent and also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale.
