New Haven, Connecticut Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: Madison Center Home Sells for $2.70 Million

The Lantern Hill Road house last changed hands for $1,775,000 in 2007, the year it was built. Its September closing led the five highest-priced home sales publicly reported across the New Haven, Connecticut metro area for the week ending September 6, 2026, a group that combined for $10.24 million.

The five span Madison Center, Orange, River Edge Farms, Madison and Branford Point, and their build years run from 1962 to 2023. William Raveis Real Estate held the listing side of two of this week’s five reported sales.

No. 1 — $2,700,000 · 37 Lantern Hill Road, Madison, Connecticut

A traditional house on Lantern Hill Road, built in 2007 in one of Madison’s in-town neighborhoods, changed hands September 1, 2026 for $2.70 million. The five-bedroom residence carries a reported 7,139 square feet.

Ten-foot ceilings, generously scaled rooms and abundant natural light run through the interior, and custom millwork and finish details appear throughout. The main level is laid out as an open plan connecting the dining, living and kitchen areas, with an expansive great room and a fireplace off it. The five bedrooms are configured to give guests their own quarters.
