A prairie-style home set on 1.5 acres in Verona’s Moraine Highland sold for $1.57 million, the highest-priced home sale publicly reported in the Madison, Wisconsin metro area for the week ending August 16, 2026. The five leading sales RealtyWire tracked across the metro area that week combined for $6.25 million.

Verona holds the top two closings, and the rest of the list runs out to Belleville, Sun Prairie and Columbus. Between them the sales take in an architect-designed home from the mid-1990s, a custom build in The Woods at Watch Hill, a log-sided ranch on 3.5 wooded acres, a 2022 house in Windsor Gardens and a just-completed home in Drumlin Creek.
