No. 1 — $26,800,000 · 2116 E Balboa Blvd, Newport Beach, California

The week’s No. 1 sale closed August 31 at $26,800,000. The four-bedroom, five-bath house offers a reported 5,624 square feet on a 10,752-square-foot parcel at the water’s edge, positioned just beyond the neighboring residence to take in front-facing harbor views along with corner vistas toward the harbor entrance and the lights of Corona del Mar.
Entry runs through gardens and an interior courtyard, off which a guest house holds its own living room anchored by an antique French limestone fireplace.
