Three Long Beach homes, one in Lakewood and one in Whittier made up the highest-priced home sales reported in Long Beach–Gateway Cities, California for the week ending October 25, 2026. Together the five sold for $11.45 million.
All five are single-family homes in Los Angeles County, and they cover several eras of Southern California building, from a postwar ranch and a 1970s mid-century design to a home completed this year. Prices ran from $1,555,000 to $3,950,000, and in one sale the same agent was on both sides.
No. 1 — $3,950,000 · 4230 N Virginia Rd, Long Beach, California

The top sale of the week is a 1951 ranch in the Los Cerritos Area of Long Beach that has been remade in a contemporary, modern style. The home sits on the 17th hole of Virginia Country Club, with about 75 feet of frontage on the course and views of the golf course.
Its design is the work of Izzy and Lilly Battres of the HGTV series “Izzy Does It.” The plan turns on a courtyard with a heated saltwater pool, which can be seen from several rooms. A heated spa is set into the ground as well. Large bi-fold doors open the living room to the outdoors, and the dining room overlooks the courtyard and leads out to the backyard. The kitchen has Cristallo quartzite counters, Thermador appliances and a walk-in pantry, with a separate prep kitchen and a breakfast bar, and it opens to a family room.
The home has five bedrooms, five baths and 4,217 square feet, the most living space of the five homes in this week’s ranking. It stands on a quarter-acre lot. The primary suite is on the main level, with a fireplace and its own door to the backyard, where a putting green lies just outside. A guest bedroom on the same floor opens directly to the pool. Wood floors, an open-riser staircase, a dry bar, a mudroom and a two-car garage round out the home. The exterior is stone and stucco, and outdoor features include a patio, a barbecue and a fire pit.
The home went under contract five days after it was listed and sold for $3,950,000. Brandy Battres of Seven Gables Real Estate was the listing agent, and Hoyt Hochman of Platinum Properties R.E. represented the buyer.
