The week’s top sale covered 3.60 acres along Route 24, also known as John J. Williams Highway, less than five minutes from Route 1. The property is made up of two adjoining parcels that were listed separately but sold together.

The main home is a two-story contemporary built in 2002 and finished in cedar, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and 2,700 square feet. Its rooms follow an open plan, with hardwood and concrete floors and a kitchen island, and a geothermal system heats and cools the home. The private backyard has an in-ground pool set among mature landscaping, and the property also has a porch, a patio and a balcony. There is a large open field at the front.

Also on the property is a former glass-blowing studio, with bedrooms and a bathroom on its upper level. The listing says buyers could explore multifamily, commercial or conditional uses, subject to approvals, and the land was listed as a commercial property as well. The property last sold for $125,000 in 1999, before the current house was built.

Brian Barrows of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty listed the property with Jennifer Barrows, also of Monument Sotheby’s International Realty, and represented the buyer as well, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale. The property went under contract six days after it was listed and sold at its full asking price, the highest price of the week.
