No. 1 — $1,175,000 · 97 North Street, Milford, Connecticut

Top home sale No. 1 in Greater New Haven Area, Connecticut β€” 97 North Street, Milford, Connecticut, week ending November 1, 2026

A Colonial Revival home built in 1918, with views of Milford’s upper duck pond, sold for $1,175,000, the highest price of the week. The home stands in a historic district and is itself registered as historic, and its owners have updated it while keeping the look of its era: the hardwood floors are new, but the front door is original and nine lead windows have been restored.

Behind the clapboard exterior, the home now runs on a new geothermal heating and cooling system and a solar panel array that the owners own outright.

It is also the largest home on this week’s list, with 4,434 square feet, seven bedrooms, four full baths and a half bath, and five fireplaces. Two sunrooms bring plenty of light onto the main floor, and the living room has a new wood-burning insert. There is a formal dining room and an office or den, and the kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, a pantry and a butler’s pantry. The bedrooms are upstairs, along with a laundry room and two full baths, and the finished, heated lower level has space for play or recreation, plus a kitchen and a full bath.

The 0.43-acre lot is level, on a corner and on a cul-de-sac. Outside are a heated in-ground pool, a patio and a deck, and the home also has an enclosed porch. The downtown train station, restaurants and the Milford Green are close by. The property last sold for $540,000 in 2018.

Erika Portanova Songer and George O’Connell of William Pitt Sotheby’s Int’l were the listing agents for the week’s top sale, and Renee Barreira of Higgins Group Real Estate represented the buyer.
