The five highest-priced home sales reported in Fox Valley, Illinois for the week ending November 1, 2026 came to a combined $4.581 million. All five are two-story single-family homes in Kane County, spread across Geneva, Batavia, Elgin and two neighborhoods of St Charles.
The group was built over a dozen years, from 1991 to 2003, and most of the homes sit on an acre or more. Prices ran from $852,000 to just over $1 million, with backyards that range from wooded stream frontage to a saltwater pool.
No. 1 — $1,025,000 · 724 S Batavia Ave, Geneva, Illinois

The top sale of the week is a home that looks older than it is. Built as a custom home in 2002, the property at 724 S Batavia Ave in Geneva was designed with traditional detailing: transom windows, wainscoting, crystal door hardware and hardwood floors across the first floor and the upstairs hallway. It sold for $1,025,000.
The living and dining rooms sit on either side of the main staircase, which was rebuilt in wood with new railings in 2023. A two-sided gas fireplace serves the family room, and the main level also has a sunroom. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring light into the kitchen and family room, which look out over a wooded, private yard. Upstairs are four bedrooms and a laundry room, and the primary suite, whose bath was fully remodeled in 2024, looks down into the trees.
The home has 3,698 square feet of living space, two full baths and one half bath, and a three-car attached garage on half an acre. Its finished walkout basement adds a recreation area and storage. Outside are landscaped gardens and a brook. The setting is the draw: the home is a block from the shops and restaurants of Geneva’s historic downtown and steps from the Metra station, with trains to Chicago. The property last sold for $805,000 in 2023.
Marzena Castillo of Baird & Warner Fox Valley-Geneva was the listing agent. Maureen Rooney, CSC, of Keller Williams Premiere Properties represented the buyer.
