The five highest-priced home sales reported in Farmington Valley & West Hartford, Connecticut for the week ending November 1, 2026, came to a combined $7.77 million.
The list runs from a Tudor with a link to Connecticut’s aviation history to Colonials and a farmhouse-style ranch in Burlington. Two brokerages listed all five.
No. 1 — $2,515,000 · 114 Daniel Trace, Burlington, Connecticut

The top sale of the week was in the Barnes Ridge neighborhood of Burlington, where the property at 114 Daniel Trace sold for $2,515,000. It sits on a secluded rear lot of 4.07 acres.
The property record describes a farmhouse-style ranch built in 2024, with four bedrooms, two full baths and a half bath, about 3,800 square feet of living space, a three-car attached garage and a full unfinished basement. The listing, however, said construction had not yet started, that the floor plan could still be customized, and that its images came from renderings and the builder’s earlier homes.
The design calls for a wraparound porch and an open plan, with the kitchen opening to a breakfast room and a family room. A large center island with a breakfast bar faces a great room with a gas log fireplace. The primary suite is planned with two walk-in closets and a bath with double sinks and a tiled walk-in shower. The property is close to Route 44, Canton, the Farmington Valley shops and the Farmington River.
Catherine A. McCahill of William Pitt Sotheby’s Int’l was the listing agent, and Silvia S. Winn of William Raveis Real Estate represented the buyer. The sale was one of two William Pitt Sotheby’s Int’l listings in this week’s Top 5, the first- and second-ranked sales.

No. 5 — $1,150,000 · 1844 Albany Avenue, West Hartford, Connecticut

The oldest home in this week’s group has a notable history. The brick and slate Tudor at 1844 Albany Avenue in West Hartford was built in 1927 for Frederick Rentschler, the aviator and engineer who co-founded Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. It sold for $1,150,000.
Much of the original interior remains: moldings, wainscoting and paneled walls, chestnut and pine floors, and leaded glass windows. A wood-paneled foyer leads to a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and French doors to a bluestone terrace, and to a paneled library with its own fireplace and a view of the pool. A sunroom with a stone floor opens off the library. A butler’s pantry links the dining room to an updated kitchen with a center island, granite counters and a breakfast nook.
At about 5,568 square feet, it is the largest home of the five, and its seven bedrooms and six baths, four full and two half, are also the most in the group. The primary suite on the second floor has a fireplace, a sitting and dressing room and an updated bath, with four more bedrooms on that floor. Two guest bedrooms and a full bath fill the third floor. The basement has a recreation room with a fireplace and a wet bar.
The home stands back from the road on 1.09 acres, with mature trees across the front lawn. Behind it, a bluestone terrace with brick sitting walls overlooks landscaped gardens and a level lawn, and a bluestone walk leads to an in-ground pool and a pool house with a fireplace. The backyard is fenced, and the property is convenient to downtown Hartford and West Hartford Center. The property last sold for $650,000 in 2002.
Rick Conary of Berkshire Hathaway NE Prop. was the listing agent, and Sabrina Beaulieu of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the buyer.
