No. 1 — $1,500,000 · 8117 Solidago Ridge Ct, Edmond, Oklahoma

The top sale of the week was a horse property in Edmond that sold for $1,500,000. Its 5.31 acres make it the largest lot in this Top 5. The home is at the end of a cul-de-sac, and fenced pastures run along the west and north sides of the land, joined by an alley run that leads to a Morton barn and a riding arena. The barn has three horse stalls, a wash bay and rooms for tack and feed, and the grounds also include a round pen and pipe-and-cable fencing.
Built in 2016, the brick, traditional-style home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms and 4,485 square feet. A two-story entry opens to the great room, which has vaulted ceilings, timber beams and a wood-burning fireplace; the beams carry on into the kitchen. The kitchen itself was fitted with Thermador appliances, leathered countertops and custom cabinetry, with a butler’s pantry alongside. A wall of windows looks out on the pool and the outdoor spaces.
Guest quarters with their own bedroom and full bathroom are on one side of the home, and the primary suite is on the other. Its bath has his-and-hers vanities, a soaker tub, a walk-in shower and his-and-hers walk-in wardrobes. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, each with its own bath, and a bonus room.
Out back, a fenced, heated in-ground pool has a waterfall, and a built-in grill and fire pit set up space for gatherings. A mudroom and half bath are close at hand for swimmers coming in from the pool. The property also has a home generator.
The home went under contract eight days after it was listed and closed at its full asking price. Andrew Foshee of Keller Williams Central OK was the listing agent, and Sarah Taylor of RE/MAX Preferred represented the buyer.

The one sale outside Edmond this week was in Jones, where a home in Chitwood Farms sold for $800,000. Its living room was expanded, and a 15-foot sliding glass door opens nearly 10 feet onto a covered patio, the pool and a private backyard surrounded by mature trees.

An extended covered patio has roll-down shades, and a full outdoor kitchen comes with a natural gas grill, burners and a mini refrigerator, set off by Trex decking and natural rock landscaping. The three-car garage has an oversized bay with room for a workshop or home gym, and a 12-by-16 storage building stands on the grounds. The property last sold for $465,000 in 2020.
