Waterfront homes in Mooresville took the top two places and three of the five, with a brand-new Cotswold home and a golf-course home in Cornelius completing the list.

Charlotte, North Carolina Metro Area Top 5 Home Sales: $6 Million Mooresville Waterfront Estate Leads the Week

The five highest-priced home sales reported in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, came to a combined $19.185 million. Three of the sales were in Iredell County and two in Mecklenburg County, and prices ran from $2,870,000 to $6,000,000.

Every one of the five is a two-story single-family home, and they span a quarter-century of building, from a 2001 home on the water to one finished this year. Ivester Jackson Christie’s listed both of the week’s two top sales.

No. 1 — $6,000,000 · 172 Tennessee Cir, Mooresville, North Carolina

Top home sale No. 1 in the Charlotte, North Carolina metro area β€” 172 Tennessee Cir, Mooresville, North Carolina, week ending October 4, 2026

The week’s highest-priced sale was 172 Tennessee Circle in the Northwood neighborhood of Mooresville, which sold for $6,000,000. The European and transitional estate sits behind gates on 4.82 private, wooded acres on Lake Norman, with year-round water views, a private beach, a dock with a boat lift and a deeded boat slip. A tree-lined drive leads up to the stucco-and-stone main home.

Built in 2010, the home has 10,905 square feet of living space, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms, five full and four half. The living room has soaring ceilings, a gas fireplace and wide views of the lake. The kitchen is built for gathering, and formal dining space sits off the main rooms. The primary suite is on the main level, with a spa-style bath and a dressing room that rises two stories. Upstairs are guest bedrooms, each with its own bath, and a private office with a loft.

The finished walk-out lower level is set up for entertaining, with a custom bar, a private theater, a fitness studio and a large recreation area. Outside, an infinity-edge saltwater pool with a heated spa and a cascading waterfall faces the water, along with a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen. Tom Stevenson Building Company built 106 Hadley Harbor Court in 2001, which makes it the oldest home in this Top 5. It sits on a private, wooded 1.01-acre lot on a cul-de-sac in The Point at Trump National Golf Club Charlotte, in Mooresville, with long-range views over the water, and it sold for $3,850,000. The property last sold in 2002 for $1.775 million.

Finished in stone and fiber cement, the home has 8,094 square feet, four bedrooms and seven bathrooms, six full and one half. A two-story foyer opens to a two-story great room, and the main level also has a formal dining room, a butler’s pantry and a library with coffered ceilings and custom built-in shelves. The newest home on the list is 154 North Canterbury Road in Charlotte’s Cotswold neighborhood, a new-construction home built by Maverick Building and completed in 2026. It sold for $3,550,000. The property last sold in 2024 for $425,000, before the current home was built.

With six bedrooms, the most of the five, the home also has eight bathrooms, seven full and one half, and 6,194 square feet on a level 0.48-acre infill lot. The living room has exposed wood beams on its 11-foot ceilings and a cast stone fireplace. For entertaining, there is a walk-in wine room with custom cabinetry, entered through a steel-framed glass door.

The primary suite includes a sitting area, a custom coffee and wine bar, and its own covered terrace overlooking the pool.
