
These are the highest-priced home sales reported in the Asheville, North Carolina metro area for the week ending October 4, 2026, and together they came to a combined $17.233 million. Three of the five were in Arden, with one each in Asheville and Zirconia. Four were in Buncombe County and one in Henderson County, and prices ran from $2,650,000 at No. 5 to $5,350,000 at the top.
No. 1 — $5,350,000 · 222 Secluded Hills Ln, Arden, North Carolina

The top sale of the week was a brand-new home on a ridge in The Cliffs At Walnut Cove, the gated club community in Arden, and it sold for $5,350,000. Completed in 2025, the modern transitional home is finished in stucco and stone, sits on 1.40 acres and has long-range mountain views in every season. The listing says the view runs from the downtown Asheville skyline out to the Blue Ridge.
Gable windows rise over the open great room, where a stone fireplace stands and white-oak beams cross overhead. Wide planks of European oak run to a wall of glass doors, which open to a large covered veranda with its own fireplace and a built-in grill. The kitchen has cabinetry that reaches the ceiling, a big island with seating and a walk-in pantry.
The primary suite is on the main level and opens to a private terrace. It has two walk-in closets, its own laundry and a bath with a freestanding soaking tub. Upstairs, a guest suite and an office or bonus room are in separate wings, joined by a loft that looks down on the great room. The oldest home in this Top 5 is on Sunset Mountain in Asheville, and it sold for $3,700,000. It dates to 1968 and was completely rebuilt in 2021 as a contemporary modern home in stucco, with broad expanses of glass meant to take in year-round views of the mountains, the city and a golf course.
The open floor plan runs from the kitchen, with its island and walk-in pantry, to the living and dining areas, which are centered on a gas fireplace. Floors are marble, tile and laminate. The home also has a primary suite and a private office, and a rooftop terrace looks out on the sunsets.
