NAR’s RPR Promotes Emily Line to Chief Strategy Officer, Janine Sieja to Chief Product Officer

Realtors Property Resource, the data and technology subsidiary of the National Association of Realtors, promoted two longtime executives to newly created C-suite roles, the company announced this week: Emily Line becomes chief strategy officer and Janine Sieja becomes chief product officer.

Line, who joined RPR in 2012 after working in commercial outreach at NAR, will oversee member experience, broker services, industry relations with associations and MLSs, and commercial services in her new role. She previously helped develop RPR’s commercial real estate platform.

Sieja is being promoted after leading RPR’s product group through what the company described as a period of significant innovation and platform modernization, including a comprehensive overhaul of RPR’s website and mobile applications, upgrades to data quality and aggregation, and infrastructure improvements.

Both roles are newly elevated to the C-suite level at RPR, a structural change that gives strategy and product decisions a more direct line to the company’s top leadership. Line’s new remit spans some of RPR’s most member-facing functions, from broker services to the relationships RPR maintains with the hundreds of local Realtor associations and MLSs that distribute its tools to agents. Sieja’s product organization, meanwhile, sits at the center of how RPR’s data and analytics reach end users through its website and mobile apps.

CEO cites both leaders’ track records

“Emily and Janine are exceptional leaders whose leadership has helped make RPR the trusted resource it is today,” said RPR CEO Jeff Young.

RPR provides property data, valuation tools and market analytics to NAR’s more than 1.5 million members nationwide, positioning it as one of the largest technology platforms serving the residential and commercial real estate industry through its ties to local MLSs and Realtor associations. The promotions come as data licensing, AI guardrails and platform access have become flashpoints across the MLS and brokerage technology landscape β€” Zillow and Nashville-area MLS Realtracs signed a new data license with AI use guardrails just a day before RPR’s announcement, part of a broader wave of licensing renegotiations between listing data sources and technology platforms.

What it means

The promotions and the executives’ backgrounds are drawn from RPR’s own announcement, a primary company source for personnel changes at a NAR subsidiary. The CEO quote and characterization of both executives’ contributions reflect the company’s own assessment of their performance rather than an independent evaluation. Newly created or elevated chief strategy and chief product officer titles typically signal that a company is investing more heavily in structured decision-making around its product roadmap and market positioning, though RPR’s release did not detail specific new initiatives the pair will lead.

What to watch: whether Line’s and Sieja’s elevated roles translate into new product announcements from RPR, particularly around commercial real estate tools and data quality β€” two areas the company specifically credited each executive with advancing before their promotions.
