These are the five highest-priced home sales reported in Syracuse Area, New York for the week ending October 25, 2026, and together they came to $5.954 million. Each sale was in a different town, with three in Onondaga County and two in Madison County, and the group runs from a lakefront compound to homes on open country acreage, a village Colonial and a home on a golf course.
All five are two-story single-family homes, and they span nearly nine decades of building, from the 1920s to the 2010s. Howard Hanna Real Estate listed three of the five, including the top sale.
No. 1 — $3,000,000 · 3435 E Lake Rd, Skaneateles, New York

The top sale of the week is a lakeside compound in Skaneateles that sold for $3,000,000. Its 2.40 acres run from East Lake Road to Skaneateles Lake, with 103 feet of lake frontage, a gently sloping shale beach and two private docks. Mature trees and established gardens fill out the grounds, and the land is partly wooded.
The home is a two-story cottage built in 1928, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms (one full and one half) and 2,202 square feet of living space. Natural woodwork and a fireplace give it its character, and it has formal living and dining rooms, a den, a home office and a loft, with the primary bedroom on the main level. Three more buildings share the property: a guest cottage, a cabin by the lake and a summer cottage at the water’s edge. The listing describes it as a family estate kept through four generations. It is in the Skaneateles School District, two lanes from the village, whose restaurants and shops can be reached by car or by boat.
Linda Roche of Howard Hanna Real Estate listed the property with Catherine Armijo, also of Howard Hanna Real Estate, and Roche also represented the buyer, so the same agent was on both sides of the sale. It was the first of three Howard Hanna Real Estate listings in this Top 5.
