No. 1 — $2,500,000 · 4 Ridge Rd, Annapolis, Maryland

Top home sale No. 1 in Annapolis-Anne Arundel County, Maryland β€” 4 Ridge Rd, Annapolis, Maryland, week ending October 25, 2026

The top sale of the week is a custom Colonial built in 2009 on a quiet street in Wardour, a short drive from downtown Annapolis and the U.S. Naval Academy. It sold for $2,500,000. The home is the newest and the largest of the five, with 5,065 square feet, six bedrooms and six bathrooms, five full and one half, on four stories. It also sits on the smallest lot of the group, 0.30 acres, and much of that ground is given over to garden.

Inside, the finish work is the point: crown molding, wainscoting, chair rails and custom built-ins, including a set around the breakfast area. The gourmet kitchen has an island and a butler’s pantry and opens to the family room and a screened porch, while formal living and dining rooms sit apart for entertaining. A bar, wine storage and a wood-burning fireplace round out the main rooms.

The primary suite is upstairs, with a large walk-in closet and a bath with two vanities, a soaking tub and a separate shower. The same level has two more bedroom suites, a bonus room and a laundry room, and the third floor adds two bedrooms and a full bath. The finished lower level is a self-contained apartment with its own entrance, living room, full kitchen, bedroom, bath and laundry.

Outside, English-style gardens planted with mature hydrangeas surround the home, and the screened porch looks out over them. A circular driveway and an oversized two-car garage with built-in storage handle the parking. The listing says reveille from the Naval Academy can be heard in the morning and taps in the evening. The property last sold for $1.505 million in 2021.

Heather Comstock of Cummings & Co. Realtors was the listing agent, and Casey Taylor of Hyatt & Company Real Estate, LLC represented the buyer.

No. 3 — $1,600,000 · 1018 Magothy Ave, Arnold, Maryland

Top home sale No. 3 in Annapolis-Anne Arundel County, Maryland β€” 1018 Magothy Ave, Arnold, Maryland, week ending October 25, 2026

The draw at this Shore Acres home in Arnold is the view. The property looks out over the Magothy River through mature trees, and its best room is a sunroom with a wall of oversized custom Thompson Creek windows facing the water. The listing describes the home as water-view rather than waterfront, with no private pier permitted. Residents reach the water instead through the community’s private beach, boat ramp and pier.

The traditional, coastal-style home was built in 1984 and sold for $1,600,000. It has four bedrooms, one of them on the main level, and four bathrooms, three full and one half, in 3,608 square feet on two stories. Exposed beams, a spiral staircase and an open kitchen and family room with an island and a bar shape the interior, and the main home also has a sauna. An upstairs bathroom was rebuilt with added storage and a linen closet.

The one-acre lot is reached by a circular drive. A detached three-car garage includes an oversized bay for keeping a boat at home, and a finished, climate-controlled flex space with epoxy floors can serve as a gym, studio or office. Outdoors there are a paver patio, a play area and an outdoor shower with two heads. The property last sold for $1.3 million in 2022.

Nicole Callender of Keller Williams Realty Delmarva was the listing agent. Jennifer Hincks of Blackwell Real Estate, LLC represented the buyer.
