Agents from HOWARD HANNA REAL ESTATE SERVICES were the listing agents on three of the five homes, and three of the homes have six bedrooms apiece.
No. 1 — $3,450,000 · 140 Glen Laurel Ln, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The top sale of the week was 140 Glen Laurel Lane in Pittsburgh, which sold for $3,450,000. The Colonial home, built in 1955 and completely renovated, sits on 3 acres in Fox Chapel and is finished in brick and fiber-cement siding. It has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms (seven full and two half), four fireplaces and 6,403 square feet on two floors.
The primary suite is on the first floor, with a spa-style bath, generous closets and a laundry area of its own. Another bedroom on that floor has its own bath. The kitchen is built around an oversized island and has walk-in pantries, and the main level also has formal living and dining rooms, a family room with built-ins and a mudroom. Upstairs are three more bedrooms, a bonus room that could serve as an office or media room, a craft room and a second laundry room.
The walkout lower level has the sixth bedroom, a fitness room and a third laundry room with a pet-washing station. Its game room opens directly to a covered patio and the pool. A cobblestone drive lined with sculpted trees leads up to a symmetrical red-brick facade with a columned entry and dormered wings.
Inside, the floors are French limestone set with marble inlays, the ceilings rise two stories and a sweeping staircase is the focus of the main level. Both the dining room and the living room, which has herringbone parquet floors, have French doors that open to the gardens. From the great room, an arched loggia with walls of French doors continues out to the pool terrace, and there is a hidden built-in bar. A paneled office has custom millwork from floor to ceiling, and the kitchen pairs white cabinetry with marble counters and a Wolf gas cooktop.
The primary suite is upstairs, with its own sitting room, a dressing room and a marble bath with a soaking tub. The lower level has a large gym, a stone wine cellar with a tasting area and room for a media room.

Space has been set aside for an elevator should an owner want one.
